Dear colleagues!
The Foreign Policy Research Institute, the Institute of World Policy, the Center for Military and Legal Studies, the Center for Political Studies "Doctrine" with the organizational assistance of the General Directorate for the Service of Foreign Missions have the honour to the round table open for foreign diplomatic missions, leading Ukrainian mass media and experts titled "Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus as a threat to European security." The event will take place on April 25, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., in the GDIP Media Center, Kyiv, 6-А Pyrohova St.
The event will be run in a combined online and offline format.
The roundtable will feature the following issues to discuss:
- To what extent is the Kremlin ready to escalate and follow through on its threats to use nuclear weapons?
- What should the West do for Russia's nuclear deterrent?
- International assistance and support to Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression as an element of deterrence;
- Whether the West is sufficiently and fully using all capabilities for nuclear deterrence of Russia?
Moderator of the event: Hryhorii PEREPELYTSIA, Captain 1st rank, Ukrainian political scientist, international conflict expert, Director of the Foreign Policy Research Institute, Doctor of Political Science, Full Professor.
