The Foreign Policy Research Institute with assistance from the Directorate-General for Rendering Services to Diplomatic Missions invite you to participate in the Round Table for foreign diplomatic missions, leading Ukrainian media and expert community on the following topic: "The Military Campaign of the Russian-Ukrainian War - 2023: Lessons for Ukraine and Conclusions for the Next Year", which will be held on 16 November 2023, from 11:00 to 13:10, in the press center of the Directorate-General for Rendering Services to Diplomatic Missions at: st. Pyrohova, 6-a.
During the Round Table it is planned to discuss the following issues:
- Conclusions from the military campaign - 2023: from counter-offensive to positional defence;
- Strategic plans and unpredictable results of their implementation;
- Political consequences from positional defence for Ukraine and Russia;
- Positional defence as a Pyrrhic victory and a strategy of war of attrition;
- The problem of choosing principles in the war for survival;
- Military assistance, land lease, or self-reliance?
- Is the Ukrainian defence industry capable of making a technological leap to break the stalemate of positional defence?
- The Russian-Ukrainian war in the trend of global confrontation in 2024;
- Forecast scenarios of the military campaign - 2024
